What Are The Daily Maintenance Methods For Plywood?

Daily maintenance for plywood requires four key aspects: moisture-proofing, stain-proofing, damage prevention, and regular maintenance to extend its lifespan. Moisture-proof maintenance: Avoid prolonged exposure of plywood to water or humid environments. For example, bathroom cabinets should be regularly inspected for leaks. If water accidentally gets into plywood flooring, wipe it dry with a dry cloth and ventilate the floor immediately. During humid seasons, place a desiccant (such as activated carbon) inside the cabinet to reduce humidity. Avoid placing plywood furniture near air conditioning vents or heaters to prevent rapid moisture loss and cracking. Stain-proof maintenance: If there are surface stains, gently wipe with a soft, damp cloth and a neutral detergent (such as soapy water). Avoid using strong acidic or alkaline cleaners (such as toilet cleaners or descaling agents) to prevent corrosion. If there are oil stains, absorb them with a paper towel before wiping with a damp cloth to prevent the oil from penetrating into the wood. Damage Prevention: Avoid placing sharp or heavy objects on the plywood surface to prevent scratches or indentations. When moving furniture, lift it instead of dragging it to prevent wear on the bottom panel. When using it in a child's room, apply anti-collision strips to the edges and corners to reduce collision damage. Regular Maintenance: Inspect the panels every 3-6 months for deformation, cracking, or debonding. Repair any damage to the paint or veneer with matching paint or stickers. Tighten any loose hinges or screws to ensure structural stability.
