Both particleboard and solid wood are wood-based panels, but they differ in their production processes and raw materials. They possess a natural, beautiful grain and color, but their disadvantage is that they are susceptible to moisture, causing deformation and cracking.
Particleboard, on the other hand, is made from wood chips and other fillers bonded together with glue. Its advantages over solid wood include increased strength, wear resistance, resistance to deformation, and a relatively low price. Its disadvantages include an uneven surface and a less natural grain than solid wood.
Thus, particleboard and solid wood panels differ significantly in terms of production materials and processes, and particleboard cannot be equated with the same type of solid wood.
