FAQ
1. What is hollow chipboard used for?
- It is used mainly as a door core board - in flat interior doors, hotel doors and acoustic doors - and as a lightweight panel in furniture, partition walls, wall filling and decorative boards.
2. How is it different from ordinary chipboard?
- Ordinary chipboard is solid throughout. Hollow chipboard has parallel tubular voids through the core, which cuts weight by up to 60%, adds sound and thermal insulation, and improves dimensional stability.
3. What thicknesses do you offer?
- 24, 28, 30, 33, 34, 35, 38, 40 and 45 mm as standard. Other thicknesses can be produced to order.
4. Can you cut to our size?
- Yes. Length and width are made to order within an 800–1300 mm width range and up to 2090 mm length.
5. Which hole orientation should I choose?
- Vertical hole (perpendicular to the face) is the standard and covers most door-core applications. Horizontal hole (running along the length) is harder to produce but offers better impact resistance and higher utilisation - recommended for heavy-use panels.
6. What is the MOQ and lead time?
- MOQ: 1 × container. Lead time: 15–20 days after receipt of deposit.
7. What payment terms do you accept?
- 30% T/T in advance, 70% against copy of B/L - or L/C at sight. Confirm current terms with our sales team.
8. Can I get a sample before ordering?
- Yes. Sample at buyer's freight cost are available (refunded once a container ordererd). Send us your specification and delivery address.
