1. Appearance

High-quality plywood has a clear grain and feels smooth and even, without cracks or bulges. Of course, some plywood may have cracks or frizziness, indicating inferior quality. Be careful!

2. Sound

The strength of plywood also determines its quality. A simple way to check its strength is to pick up one end of the plywood and listen for a creaking sound. If there is a creaking sound, it indicates low strength.

3. Moisture Content

The moisture content of the board is very important. If the moisture content is too high, the board is prone to cracking and deformation. To check, if the plywood feels cool to the touch, it has a high moisture content.

4. Core

The core is a crucial factor in determining the quality of plywood. While it's located in the center of the board and cannot be visually identified, it can be tapped. If the sound is uneven, it indicates a hollow core. The tightness of the plywood's seams is also crucial, with no unevenness.
